Directions 

  • Take I-66W to exit 43A (US-29 S) and follow Route 29 to Warrenton. In Warrenton, turn right onto US-211 W. After about 11 miles, turn left onto Rte 642 (Viewtown Road), which will become Rte 640 (Forest Grove Road). Follow the road for 5 miles. Make a right at the stop sign onto Rte 729 (Richmond Road). After one mile, continue straight onto Rte 618 (Laurel Mills Road). Continue 3 miles, at which point you will reach the Meadows at Castleton sign on the right side of the T intersection of Laurel Mills Road, Castleton View Road, and Hope Hill Road. Continue straight onto Rte 617 (Castleton View Road) for ¼ mile, down and back up the hill and past the barn on the right-hand side. The main office is a small blue house with a playground on the right side of the road and is indicated with a sign.

  • Culpeper:
    Take N Main St (US-29 BUS N) until it becomes 229N. Turn left onto 729 (Eggbornsville Road, which becomes Richmond Road, which then becomes 618/Laurel Mills Road). Continue 3 miles, at which point you will reach the Meadows at Castleton sign on the right side of the T intersection of Laurel Mills Road, Castleton View Road, and Hope Hill Road. Continue straight onto Rte 617 (Castleton View Road) for ¼ mile, down and back up the hill and past the barn on the right-hand side. The main office is a small blue house with a playground on the right side of the road and is indicated with a sign.

    Charlottesville:

    Take US-29 N until you reach downtown Culpeper, and follow the directions above.

  • Take I-95N to exit 133 and merge onto US-17 N/Warrenton Rd toward Warrenton. After about 30 miles, turn left onto 802/Springs Rd. This will become State Rte 621. Turn left onto US 211 W. After about 1 mile, turn left onto Rte 642 (Viewtown Road), which will become Rte 640 (Forest Grove Road). Follow the road for 5 miles. Make a right at the stop sign onto Rte 729 (Richmond Road). Additional Services

If you would like to rent a golf cart to use during your stay, we are happy to connect you with a rental service guests have used in the past. Please visit our Referral Directory for recommended service providers including massage therapists, chauffeurs, babysitters and private cooks or catering for large groups.

Cancellation

Cancellations made at least 30 days prior to check-in will be fully refunded.

Cancellations made at least 14 days prior to check-in will receive a 50% refund.

Cancellations made fewer than 14 days prior to check-in are non-refundable. 

Cell Service & Internet

Due to our rural surroundings, we cannot guarantee cell phone service; our guests frequently use WiFi calling. Internet can be affected by weather conditions, but is largely reliable.

Check-In & Check-out

Unless otherwise stated, check-in is at 4:00pm; check-out is at 11:00am.

Children

We are a family-friendly property; children of all ages are welcome! High chairs and cribs can be made available upon advanced request. For babysitting services, please visit our Referral Directory.

Discounts

We gladly provide a 10% discount for active military and first responders.

Grilling & Fire

Each larger house has a gas grill, while our two cottages and the Carriage House have charcoal grills. All houses and cottages also feature either a wood-burning fire pit or gas fire table.

Groceries & Shopping

For basic items, the nearest store is the Laurel Mills Store, located about 2.5 miles (five minutes by car) from the farm. They also have a small deli counter.

There is also a 24-hour 7-Eleven just under 20 minutes away on Route 211 towards Warrenton. Otherwise, we are a 25-minute drive from the town of Culpeper (SE), 30-minute drive from Warrenton (NE), and a 35-minute drive from Front Royal (NW).

Pets

We are pleased to welcome your canine companion to Castleton. All pets must be approved in advance and are subject to a one-time $75 per-pet fee plus tax.

Pet Occupancy Limits
1 pet: Blue Ridge Cottage, Rock Cottage
2 pets: Carriage House, Fair Haven, Magnolia, Mountain View Guest House, Twin Ponds
3 pets: Crest Hill, Meadows

Additional pets beyond occupancy limit are $150 per pet plus tax.

Pet Rules

  • Maximum pet weight limit is 65 pounds 

  • All pets must be fully trained and in compliance with local laws

  • Pets must be leashed at all times when outdoors 

  • Pets are not permitted in the pool house

  • Pets may not be left unattended indoors unless crated

  • Any soiled areas or excessive pet hair on furniture, textiles or bed linens will incur an additional $150.00 cleaning fee automatically charged to the payment method on file

  • Damage to furniture may incur additional fees up to and including cost of replacement

Smoking

Smoking, including the use of electronic cigarettes, is strictly prohibited in any of our buildings. Outdoor smoking is permitted on paved surfaces only. Please properly dispose of all cigarette butts. Any evidence of indoor smoking will result in a $2,500 fine to the renter.

Visitors

Visitors are not permitted on the property without prior approval. If you would like to bring additional guests for an event, please contact the hospitality office.

Amenities

All our communal areas are easily walkable but may also be accessed by car if preferred. 

Fishing

Our property has severable ponds available for catch-and-release fishing. Fishing equipment is not provided. The larger pond has a dock and small boats for communal use. Please note that we do not provide life jackets; proceed at your own risk.

Fitness Center

Our fitness center is complementary and open 24 hours. We offer a treadmill, elliptical, rowing machine, stationary bicycle, squat rack, weight bench and punching bag, as well as free weights, a Bosu ball and TRX system.

Pools, Pool House & Spa

Our pool house features an indoor pool, hot tub and shower. This communal facility is available year-round for an additional per-house fee:

The pool house is open from 10:00am–5:00pm daily* and is located between 0.5–1.5 miles from each house. Parking is available on site near the large garage.

The pool house accommodates up to 30 guests; a private buyout is available on request. To visit our pool house, please inquire when booking or contact Connie Payne.

Private Pools
Private pools are unheated and open between Memorial Day and Labor Day.

Tennis

We have three complementary tennis courts available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Tennis equipment may be rented or purchased on request.
